Ever tried all the things- matcha, cold showers, meditation, 5am journaling-
and still feel like a stressy squirrel in yoga pants?
Same.
I get it- health & wellness can feel overwhelming!
Especially when you feel like you’re “doing everything right” and still not seeing lasting
results.
I have been lucky enough to be immersed in the wellness industry for the past 12 years
and as with anything, experience doesn’t just teach you more (which it absolutely does)- it
also teaches you to question the things you were taught and once believed.
I’ve worked in clinical, community and corporate wellness. Landed my DREAM jobs.
Got the education. Took the additional courses. Drank the green powders. Did the
handstands. Took more education. Taught the yoga...
And still?
Burnout.
Why?
I’m happy you asked...
We’ve Been Sold The Idea
That there’s a perfect routine. You must buy ______ and do _______ , ______, ______ to be
healthy.
But the truth?
What supports your system is as unique as your fingerprint.
Wellness isn’t a one-size-fits-all. We each have our own unique biorhythms, nervous
systems, stress patterns, energy levels, and not to mention... We are constantly growing
and evolving!
What regulates your best friend, might overstimulate you.
What worked for you last year, might be old news.
Wait! I thought this was supposed to be helpful?
Read on, little squirrel.
This is the #1 thing most people miss
It’s not about doing more. It’s about finding the ‘right’ fit & what works for your
unique system.
This, is where I come in.
Now, we don’t have time to discuss the deep intricacies and workings of the Nervous
System now, but let’s take a brief “Coles Notes” view at Hyper & Hypo arousal...
Imagine with me... a seesaw or teeter-totter.
One side tilts up- Hyperarousal: a state of heightened arousal/ overstimulation (wired,
excited, anxious).
The other side tilts down- Hypoarousal: a state of low arousal/ under-stimulation (tired,
numb, depressed).
Our systems will try and seek balance (aka. homeostasis aka. harmony).
This is our Window of Tolerance: the optimal zone of arousal, the sweet spot where your
mind and body feel safe, present and able to respond or observe.
When we are in a state of Hyperarousal we often benefit from down-regulating tools:
Slow, deep breathwork, slower, supportive movement, warming/ grounding meals, baths,
weight therapy, etc. When we are in a state of Hypoarousal we often benefit from
up-regulating tools: Invigorating breathwork, dancing, sunlight, cold water, laughter, etc.
We need both. The key is knowing which ones you need- and when.
The Right Tool For The Job
You wouldn’t build a whole house with just a hammer, right?
You need a toolkit with a variety of tools!
Same goes for our systems.
We need a variety of tools- the good news?
Most of them, are already within you.
My mission is to help people get back in sync
By sinking down from our minds, back into our bodies & learning tools to better balance &
support our systems.
I don’t want to add more to your already full plate, I want your plate to feel desirable.
Simple. More effective.
Less should, more support & sustainable solutions.
This isn’t about chasing the latest wellness trends- it’s about getting strategic with what
actually works for you, in this season of your life.
Together, we build your system “toolkit” using:
● Nutrition specific to your unique biology.
● Movement that feels supportive to your system.
● Lifestyle shifts that work effortlessly into your day-to-day life.
● Other Tools to build resilient, adaptable and strong supported systems!
It’s ok to shift, your body changes, your tools should too.
You are NOT Broken
You are just temporarily out of sync.
Let’s find your rhythm again, together.
One step, one tool, one breath at a time.
I know if you made it this far, something resonated for you.
I’d love to hear what came up for you.
Believe me when I say... Feeling good is just the beginning.
